Mr. Scoop, also known as Fred Nell, is originally from Columbia, PA.  He is a 1990 graduate of Columbia High School, in Lancaster County.  Fred began “Mr. Scoop”  in June of 2003 in order to control his own hours  and spend more time with his 7 year old son, Tyler.  Fred believes it is his work ethic, dedication, and determination to be his own boss which has helped his business to become what it is today – the most successful dog waste removal service in the Central Pennsylvania area.

In addition to working with his business, Mr. Scoop spends countless hours giving back to the community.  He has sponsored two successful “Mr. Scoop-A-Thon” fundraisers to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation and Castaway Critters.  Mr. Scoop also volunteers with the Warwick Township Police D.A.R.E. program, and he has cleaned up after K-9 unit police dogs at no charge.  He donated his time last Christmas to P.A.W.S. and dressed up as Santa for pictures with pets.  Most recently, Mr. Scoop has been a motivational guest speaker for business and marketing classes at Elizabethtown High School, and he was a sponsor of an American Cancer Society Relay-for-Life team for the June 2007 race.

Currently, Mr. Scoop lives in Lititz, PA, with his girlfriend, Karen, and their pets, Teddy – the dog and inspiration for the business, Emmi – the cat and true ruler of the household, and Rosie – the box turtle in the backyard.
